StrugNova Hexapod Robot for Khalifa University









StrugNova FZC collaborated with Khalifa University to enhance and modify their existing hexapod robot for advanced research applications. The project involved significant upgrades to the mechanical structure and control system, ensuring precise movement and stability. Key modifications included transitioning from hydraulic to servo actuation, refining actuator placement for optimal force distribution, and replacing the existing PLC-based control system with a more sophisticated microcontroller solution. These improvements resulted in a highly functional research platform capable of handling complex kinematic calculations and real-time motion adjustments. The upgraded hexapod serves as a cutting-edge tool for robotics and automation research, reinforcing StrugNova's expertise in delivering high-performance robotic solutions.
